Our Story
New Financial You was born out of necessity. We’ve been there. We know what it is like to lose control of your life due to financial irresponsibility. And it does not help when credit counseling services who do not have a full understanding of your situation take a superficial look at your credit and provide some rote advice.
My urge to keep up with the Jonses, by shopping till I dropped, and chasing the next buck through get-rich-quick schemes could only be achieved by living my life on credit. I eventually found myself with $80,000 dollars in credit card debt--I was in trouble.
I realized that I had to transform my entire character in order to abstain from amassing debt. And I did. I initially turned to “self-help” books to rid myself of my financial destructiveness but soon learned I did not have the willpower to succeed in overtaking my credit addiction with just a book. Instead, my Financial U-turn began with my gaining knowledge of the financial credit maintenance industry, where tips about maintaining credit by using unorthodox methods were explored . After pouring over the material, I tested the theories to see if I could reduce my debt. I had a mini-support group made up of family, friends, and colleagues who were there for me if I felt my spending and credit freeze was about to thaw. After much trial and error, I finally found a winning formula that helped me reduce 80% of my debt within 3 years.
Against all of the odds, I freed myself from my credit addiction. And now I am sharing the wealth by establishing a financial counseling business based on strategies I employed on my road to financial health-- which I aptly named New Financial You.
